 1. Early Life and Education:

Bill Gates was born William Henry Gates III in Seattle, Washington, on October 28, 1955.

His father, William H. Gates Sr., was a lawyer and his mother, Mary Maxwell Gates, was a teacher.

Known as an intelligent student, Gates became interested in mathematics and computer programming while studying at Lakeside School.

2. Founding of Microsoft and Early Achievements:

In 1975, at the age of 20, he founded Microsoft with Paul Allen. One of the first major deals was to write the BASIC programming language for Altair 8800 computers.

In the early 1980s, a deal with IBM fueled Microsoft's rise. Microsoft was selected to develop the operating system for IBM's personal computers, resulting in the success of MS-DOS.

3. Windows and Office Programs:

It released the Windows operating system in 1985. Windows made personal computing easier by providing a graphical-based interface.

The Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) was released in 1989 and was a huge success.

4. Technological Revolution and Wealth:

By the late 1990s, Gates and Microsoft played an important role in the popularization of personal computers and the development of the Internet.

In 1995, Microsoft further popularized computing by releasing Windows 95.

His achievements in the computer industry have made Gates one of the richest people in the world.

5. Pensions and Philanthropy:

He stepped down as CEO of Microsoft in 2000 and retired from Microsoft entirely in 2008.

He founded the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation with his wife Melinda in 2000. The Foundation carries out projects in the fields of global health, education and poverty alleviation.

6. Covid-19 and Vaccine Studies:

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Gates and his foundation provided financial support in the fight against the pandemic and made major contributions to vaccine development efforts.

However, he has faced criticism for his views on vaccines and the pandemic.

7. Private Life:

Gates married Melinda French in 1994. However, the couple decided to divorce in 2021.

Many issues regarding Gates' private life have generally been kept away from the media.
